Tenn. House will vote on abortion amendment

The resolution, SJR 127, would allow lawmakers to re-establish requirements for women seeking an abortion to wait 48 hours before the procedure and all first term abortions to be preformed in hospitals. The Senate has approved the amendment( which usually happens), and will come before the house in 2010.
I think that this will be a good thing and I hope that each state will follow. I believe that abortion should only be preformed when certain medical issues, rape are involved. I believe that if women would step up and take their responsibilities serious, that we would have less need for abortions. If there is need for abortion, I think that it should be preformed in a hospital setting for the sake and health of the patient. I also believe that the 48 hour wait is a good thing, if gives the woman time to think about it and seek counseling.
