They plan to excommunicate the mother of the girl, the doctors involved. The girl, who was nine at the time was pregnant with twins as a result of a rape by her step-father. the bishop stated that it was a sad case but the real problem is that the twins that were involved were innocent people. The doctors stated that the pregnancy would have been fatal for the girl. You can read this article at
